We’ve seen your upgrade ticket

“We’ll upgrade
after peak season.”

That sentence is three years old. Adobe Commerce 2.4.4 left extended support in April 2026 and 2.4.5 followed in August, which means the deferral has stopped being a scheduling decision and started being a security one.

  1. Running a version that no longer receives security patches

This is the one to fix first, ahead of anything on the roadmap. Getting back to a supported release is usually cheaper than the audit that follows the incident.

  2. Forty extensions installed, twelve of them patched by hand, none of them documented

Third-party modules are why upgrades are quoted in months. Auditing what is actually used, removing what is not, and replacing hand-patched modules with maintained ones is most of the cost of the next upgrade.

  3. A Luma theme that nobody has been able to make fast

Luma and Knockout are the reason Magento earned its reputation. Hyvä removes both, and it is now the default choice for a rebuild that is not going headless. Anova and Probulin both run under a second.

  4. Customer-specific pricing that is right in the ERP and wrong on the site

Displaying a discounted price is easy. Keeping thousands of account-specific prices in sync in real time, and showing the right one to the right buyer every time, is the actual project.

  5. An agency that built it and is no longer answering

Inheriting somebody else’s Magento is a normal engagement here, not a favor. It starts with an honest audit of what is salvageable, then stabilizing the critical paths before anything new gets built.

  6. Nobody can tell you whether you should still be on this platform at all

Sometimes the answer is no. If your catalog and pricing would now fit inside Shopify Plus, self-hosting is buying you nothing. We would rather tell you that in an audit than after a year of retainers.

Adobe Commerce capabilities

Everything your store needs. On Adobe Commerce.

Design, development, and marketing on Adobe Commerce and Magento, from one team. Most of it is ongoing, because the platform rewards the agency that stays.

01 · Design

Deep catalogs, designed to be browsed

Six-figure catalogs fail on the category page, not the homepage. Layered navigation, faceting, and the PDP are where design earns its fee.

  • Hyvä theme design and design systems

  • PLP, layered navigation, and PDP UX for deep catalogs

  • B2B portal and account dashboard design

  • Mobile-first, with Core Web Vitals in the brief

  • WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility, designed in

02 · Development

Upgrades, builds, and the years between

Security patches on a schedule, upgrades planned around your calendar, and the B2B depth that is the reason you are still here.

  • Security patching and 2.4.x upgrades on a schedule

  • Hyvä frontends and caching architecture

  • B2B module: hierarchies, contract pricing, requisition lists

  • Punchout (cXML, OCI), EDI, and ERP middleware

  • Multi-store and multi-brand setups

  • 24/7 monitoring and inherited-build rescue

03 · Marketing

SEO at catalog scale

A hundred thousand URLs is an SEO problem before it is anything else. Canonicals, crawl budget, and feeds are the work.

  • Magento SEO: canonicals, layered-nav indexing, crawl budget

  • Google Shopping and Meta feeds from large catalogs

  • Email and SMS for DTC and B2B reorder

  • CRO on PLP, PDP, and B2B checkout

  • GA4, GTM, and PostHog instrumentation

Known issues

The issues you'll hit.
Handled.

Adobe Commerce is capable and unforgiving. The issues below are the ones that turn up on nearly every audit, and none of them is the platform’s fault so much as the platform’s price of admission.

  • Indexers and cron jobs stalling

    What it costs you

A stuck indexer or an overlapping cron means prices, stock, and category pages go stale while the admin says everything is fine. Customers see it before you do.

    What we do

Cron isolation, indexer monitoring with alerting, and schedule-mode indexing tuned to your catalog size, so stale data pages someone at 2am rather than a customer.

  • Full page cache that doesn’t hold

    What it costs you

Varnish or Fastly misconfigured, hole-punching wrong, or a module that busts the cache on every request, and your fast platform is serving every page uncached.

    What we do

Cache architecture as a deliverable: FPC configuration, private-content hole-punching, and module audits for anything that defeats it.

  • Admin slow on a big catalog

    What it costs you

With six figures of SKUs, product grids, exports, and rule saves crawl. Merchandisers stop using the tools, and the catalog quietly rots.

    What we do

Database tuning, grid and export optimization, and moving heavy jobs to the message queue, so the team can actually run the store.

  • Search relevance out of the box

    What it costs you

OpenSearch is required, and the default relevance is poor: part numbers miss, synonyms don’t exist, and layered navigation shows facets nobody uses.

    What we do

Search tuned for how your buyers actually query, synonyms and attribute weighting, and facets curated per category rather than dumped.

  • Multi-Source Inventory getting in the way

    What it costs you

MSI adds reservations and source selection that many single-warehouse stores never needed, and it is a frequent source of oversells and phantom stock.

    What we do

Configure MSI for the warehouses you actually have, or simplify it where it is only adding failure modes. Then reconcile it against the ERP for real.

  • Downtime on every deploy

    What it costs you

Static content deploys and setup:upgrade take the store down, so releases wait for a quiet hour that never comes, and the backlog grows.

    What we do

Zero-downtime deployment pipelines with blue-green or symlinked releases, so shipping a change is a Tuesday afternoon event, not a maintenance window.

WE GOT THE WHOLE PACKAGE

There’s a lot more

to this story.

Design, development, and digital marketing all live under one roof. The same team that builds your store also designs it and runs the paid, lifecycle, and CRO work behind it, so nothing gets lost in a handoff.

THE QUESTIONS YOU HAVE -

Get them out
of the way.

No, but the version you are on probably has a date attached. Adobe Commerce 2.4.4 left extended support in April 2026 and 2.4.5 followed in August 2026, with 2.4.6 leaving standard support at the same time. Magento Open Source continues, and the Mage-OS community fork exists specifically to keep it going. So the platform is alive; what has ended is the assumption that you can sit on a version indefinitely. If you are on 2.4.4 or 2.4.5 today you are running unpatched, and that is the thing to fix first.
